Exam and X-rays (Check Up) It is recommended to have check-ups twice a year. Check-ups include a thorough exam including the head and neck exam, oral cancer screening, TMJ exam, and intraoral exam. 2D and 3D X-rays are taken as needed in order to provide a complete radiographic examination. Regular check-ups allow us to catch and treat problems early or prevent them entirely.
Cleaning It is recommended to have a professional cleaning every six months to maintain a healthy, clean smile. Our professional cleanings remove stains, plaque, bacteria, debris, and tarter, which if left for a prolonged period of time can cause damage to your teeth and supporting gums and bone.
Deep Cleaning If it has been sometime since your last thorough professional cleaning, you may need a deep cleaning. A deep cleaning is needed when we have tarter accumulated below the gum line, many times associated with periodontitis. This involves 2 appointments where we use local anesthesia (numbing) to make it a comfortable experience and allow for complete removal of the tarter.
Oral Hygiene Instructions It is important to talk to a dental professional regarding your specific homecare routine. Our team will provide you with advice on how you can maintain your oral hygiene in between check up appointments.
Whitening We provide custom trays that fit your teeth along with a whitening gel to allow you to whiten your teeth at home at your convenience. Our custom trays allow the gel to only be applied on your teeth without causing damage to your gums.
Fillings Cavities form when tooth-adherant bacteria metabolize sugars to produce acid. This acid causes demineralization of your tooth over time. As time progresses, these cavities become deeper and larger. It is important to clean these cavities removing this bacteria and fill them with resin-based composites to match your remaining tooth structure. Fillings also may be needed after trauma resulting in loss of tooth structure.
Crowns Crowns may be needed for several reasons. A crown is recommended in most cases after a root canal due loss of tooth structure and strength. Crowns are also recommended when you have lost more than 2/3 of your tooth structure due to damage or decay. Crowns help restore strength, esthetics, function, and help prevent any foreseeable fractures that may cause you to loose your tooth. **We offer a unique service of single-visit permanent crowns via digital scanning and 3D milling**
Root Canal Tooth pain can be a terrible experience. Let us help you relieve that pain. Signs of a possible need of a root canal include prolonged toothache, swelling due to infection, extreme sensitivity to hot or cold, and pain to biting. Root canals remove the source of the pain, where the nerve space is cleaned and sealed to allow comfort and healing.
Dental Veneers Dental veneers can be used to improve appearance of teeth with gaps, discoloration, chipping, and malalignment. They are a great way to improve your smile aesthetics!
Dental Implants Dental implants are a replacement of the root when you are missing a tooth. A crown is attached to the implant to fill the space of the missing tooth.
Dental Bridge A Dental Bridge involves the teeth adjacent to the space to bridge the gap. The adjacent teeth are crowned and used as anchors to support a crown over the gap.
Extraction If an infection, fracture, or decay has progressed to the extent that we are unable to save the tooth, an extraction is the next necessary step. Wisdom teeth also may need to be extracted if there is no space for them to erupt correctly or if they are causing pain and inflammation.
Dentures Depending on how many healthy teeth there are remaining, you may be a candidate for partial or complete dentures. Dentures aid in replacing missing teeth to restore function and esthetics.
